Gait Analysis (Running) - Berlin

Where can I get my gait analysed?

mr fahrenheit
Hey everyone,
I've decided to do the classic thing we do when we don't know what else to do, a marathon. I'm thinking either Milan or Florence at the end of November. Having spoken to a few runners they tell me it is very important to have your gate analysed to determine what shoe you should use. Does anyone by any chance know where I can get this done in Berlin? And how much it costs? Bit of a curve ball i know..
Thanks
Stu

PS and apologies to any gate enthusiasts (of the other kind) who might have gotten excited at the title

Well I just went o analyse mine and found it had two hinges and a rather crappy latch which makes it too easy for the neighbour's kids to barge in, when we've blown up the pool for the summer. Typical German toddlers they turn up with a towel!

Had mine done at Runner's Point in Munich, but they also have branches in Berlin, can't remember paying for it but I did buy shoes. They also link to other places which might do more in-depth analysis.

I got mine done at Lauf-Bar about 2 yrs ago (can't remember the price though). It's at U-Bahn station Nordfriedhof.
Not cheap, but very professional, including muscle function test, mobility test and more. They'll send you the full analysis on CD, together with recommended exercises (e.g. to strengthen the upper body).

Any hints as to the city in question?

I'm Irish too and know a couple of lads who can get you a new one if you need. Great quality, real cheap...awright bud. Dags too. No problemo compadre. Pint o'milk for the babby? D'ye see that piebald? It's a horse, Tayto! Who'll dance with the tinker's daughter?

There's a stumper... Do you get your head stuck in gaits, too?

I was wondering why I couldn't see U Nordfriedhof on the BVG map.

Anyway, to repeat myself, Runners Point.

there's a shoe store that I think is called Lunge on Markelstrasse in Steglitz (right by the Schloss). I've seen the special treadmill inside there and people getting fitted for running shoes. I used to live on Markelstrasse so I walked buy it everyday. It's a typical specialty running store you'd find in the states. Hope that helps.

uh. that happens when you only read "todays posts" without looking at the subforum , sorry ....

mr farenheit, you can also go to Globetrotter (an outdoors store) at Rathaus Steglitz to have your gait analysed, I am 99% sure they do it for free, so you will buy a €90000 pair of shoes from them.
