Commencal Meta 4.1

SmittyBoy
This is a like new Commencal Meta 4.1 (2008). This bike sold new for over €2250, I am sacrificing this bike for €1125 (or nearest offer). The reason I am selling it is that I simply don't use it as much as I was thinking I would. It really is in excellent condition. I looked it over and can't even find any significant chips or scratches, although I won't say there aren't any.

Please PM me if you are interested.

I demoed the 4.1 about a year ago and liked it quite a bit; well-finshed and good geometry, but now I've seen new ones for $1500 US on dealsucker.com (http://www.dealsucker.com/deals_discussion/Commencal-Meta-4-1-Complete-Mountain-Bike_73265/), so your purchasing price has less to do with today's reality - still, it's a top bike and worth some coin, hope you find a happy buyer -- you might also look at selling it on a German bike-sales specialised site.

Hi Jack,
should we make a 2nd attempt to meet?
I could make it tomorrow ~6.30pm.
I would prefer a location which is better reachable by car - but Chinese tower would also be okay - at least I know where it is ;-)

Best regards,

Alexander

I am sorry, I do not have the receipt - I have most of the other documentation that came with it when I purchased it, though. I have no idea what the warranty period was, so I really can't say whether or not its currently covered.

If you haven't noticed, the USD/EUR exchange rate does not really apply the way most people think it does. When you purchase items in the US, they typically have the same dollar price as the Euro price in the EU or the GBP price in the UK (e.g. Nike running shoes cost USD 100, EUR 100, and GBP 100 for the exact same shoe model). So, my price reflects this. Also, please note that that is NOT the same bike as I am advertising, it is a lower spec frame, with a weaker rear end.

except people can (and frequently do) buy their bikes in the US and ship them back for a fraction of the price here.

you can take a bike as one piece of luggage on most airlines (for free) as long as you wrap it properly

just make sure you get a bit of mud on the frame and wheels before you pack it though. helps avoid any surprises at customs, if they can be bothered to look.

Yep, I'm not pretending that isn't possible. The fact is, I have this bike, here, now, ready for purchase.

Free not including the price of the your plane ticket. (And almost all airlines charge for checking more than one bag now.)
