Hi there language lovers,
what about the idea to create a weekly meeting for all language lovers???
A friend of mine is doing the same in the Berlin and people love it, so I thought why not to try it in Munich as well!
The gathering is open to all ages and it is all about practising languages and helping each other in a friendly atmosphere with friendly people, beer, food... and you're all warmly welcome to join if you don't want to learn any anguage but can help other members to practice.
In the Berlin Language Exchange they are around 20-40 persons from all over the world helping each other to improve their language skills. There's a chance to practice many languages besides German and English, it always depends on the participants.
So first of all it would be good to know if there are people around here in Munich who are interesed in a Language Exchange Lounge and then we could decide where and when to meet!
I would suggest to start after the Octoberfest when things are getting calmer again :-)
I am looking forward to your answers, suggestions replies!!
Ein Prosit :-) Have lots of fun on the Octoberfest

Not a bad idea at all, I'd be all for trying it out. I can help others with French and English. Hopefully, I'll get to practice my German a bit at the same time.

If this kicks off, I might erratically drop by - of course I have not been able to get myself to a language Stammtisch in ages. I suggest you pick a date, location, make a list and add the languages...

Sounds cool, since I like lounge and language. Beer garden can get a little too much after a while.
Its sounds like some sort of cross language thing, just like in the old student (erasmus) days, with parties and a mix of 4 to 5 languages flying around. I enjoyed those days..

Ola... I can contribute with Portuguese (native), English, Spanish and some German. I would like to be able to speak French again, learn Italian and Japanese! I don't know if I can make it on 19th, but I will keep an eye on this thread.
