Job: Language coach sought in Hamburg

Hi!

I am curremtly looking for an English native speaker who could teach my cousine (14) English. Her level of Englsih is between basic and intermediate. Would be great if a potential tutor could come to her place (Hamburg-Hausbruch). The private lessons should take place 1-2 times/w and are rewarded with 10 euro/h.

Hi Tamara P. I am writing because I noticed you haven't received any replies here. I think it's because you are only offering 10 EUR/hour. Even at English schools with bad reputations, the minimum they would offer would be 12 EUR/hour. Since the teacher must travel to your cousin's house, I think you might get more replies if you offered 15-20 EUR/hour, minimum. Good luck!

I am very happy that you have found a teacher however, I must admit that this type of incidence is a typical example of why the hourly rate for teachers in Hamburg is so low and not because of low quality/low paying schools. 10 Euro per hour is less than we pay our cleaner!! But while there are English students and others in Hamburg that wish to earn a little Black-Cash, then this trend will continue.
