We are looking for English-speaking tutors in Math, German, Chemistry & Physics and academic/organization skills for a motivated high school girl. Let us know if you can tutor in more than one subject. Please reply with your experience and pay requirements. Familiarity with the German High School system is a plus. We are in the Prenzlauer Berg area and would prefer to have the tutoring in our home.

Hello, I am from the US and graduated from an ivy league university in Architecture several years ago. I am also currently living in Prenzlauerberg.
I would love the opportunity to help your daughter achieve her goals. As an architect, one is focused on organization, constructive thinking, visual communication and creative problem solving. I have studied math, chemistry and physics in college and apply math and physics at work and chemistry while creating my ceramic glazes.
I would be interested in tutoring in all subjects, except for German. My German level in only A2-B1. If she is an absolute beginner, I could help her with the rules for levels A1, A2 and B1, and could give her exercises to do.
My tutoring experience is varied. My math and science tutoring work was mostly with younger students. I have trained high school students in public speaking. I have also mentored interns in an architecture office.
Please contact me at SCARIANOLA@yahoo.com if interested. I would prefer to discuss rates privately. It would not be expensive.
We could meet one time unpaid for me to meet your daughter and look at all of her work. Since I live in the area, I could come over at your earliest convenience. I am also funny, spirited and creative, so I think your daughter would enjoy her sessions with me. I greatly enjoy learning and teaching! -Laura

Hi,
I realize this post is old, however I thought I would reply in case you are still looking. I am 24yr old energetic, organized and dedicated young lady. I am just finishing my M.Sc. in Canada and am moving to Berlin in November to write my thesis. I would be available upon arrival, however I might need to make a trip back to Canada for a couple of weeks in early 2010 to defend my thesis. I excel in the maths and sciences and have tutored before in all Canadian subjects (Maths, Sciences, Social Studies and English). I am happy to tutor in any required subject, however I only have B level German, so German language arts would be difficult for me.
I have a lot of experience teaching both university and high school students as well as equestrian lessons to young children. I very much enjoy teaching. As a relevant example, I tutored a very fun energetic 9th grade girl a few years ago in all of her subjects. She had a lot of trouble with organization, concentration, paraphrasing and other basic study and test taking skills. I very much enjoyed this job. We had a lot of fun studying together and it is nice to know that I helped her develop the study skills she still uses today in college. Please let me know if you would like my CV or any references both professional and personal.
Best Regards,
Rose
