Hey guys!

My family and me just returned to Berlin (rather involuntarily) from Michigan, after we lived there the last three years.
We all miss the US a lot but my little brother Leo has to deal with most difficulties.
He had the greatest friends in Michigan and often gets disappointed from the ones he's around over here.
We did everything so he could at least find some balance with his passion - skateboarding - which he's really good at and which was practically his whole life in Michigan. He used every free minute to practice.

We built him a half-pipe in the garden and went to the skatehall, but all alone we won't get back on the board. His friends over here tell him they don't like skateboarding, because they're not good at it, and we can't find a way to make him do it alone until he finds new friends with the same passion and level.

The reason why I'm writing all this is because I hope among your kids,... there are somewhere some guys in about his age (not too big of an issue) who would like to go skateboarding with Leo,... or who have friends who skateboard. And of course he's still perfect in English and could only profit from meeting native English speakers.

I would be so thankful if anyone could find a way to help us make it a little easier for Leo to adjust back here in Germany!!
If there is somewhere a skateboard camp or club or something - that would be great too!!!

Thank you guys so much in advance.

Hi, my boy is only 6 months so wouldn't make much of a friend to your boy quite yet but just wanted to let you know that there is a small but well used skate area in Neukölln. It's by Weichselstr. 34 and there's also a great spielplatz across the way for various ages. I also did a quick search on Google and it came up with places for skateboarding... http://www.visitberlin.de/english/berlin-erleben/e_be_sport_skaten-klettern.php

Hope this helps.
