Heatlhy Start Nutrition Workshop - Munich

Hi everyone,

Below are details for a nutrition course starting up at ELKI (Eltern/Kind Zentrum) this fall. The course will be a small group (max. 8 parents) so you'll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and hopefully have some good discussions.

Healthy Start

English taught nutrition workshop for parents of infants and children 6-24 months



Course will cover:

* In the beginning: starting solid foods
* Transitioning to toddler foods
* Establishing healthy eating patterns
* Elements of a healthy diet (nutritional requirements)
* Home prepared vs. store bought baby food
* Food safety strategies

Will also discuss common concerns about eating and kids including:

* Allergies vs. food intolerance
* Tips for picky eaters
* Vegetarian diets
* Choking hazards

Instructor Dora Meyer has 11 years of nursing and parent education experience in the United States and France. Dora holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Nursing and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Public Health specializing in health education and promotion.
