Thank you too sara sorry for questions but this is my first visit to oktoberfest ..do you know what's the best place to park the camper?I think i'll take 2 or 3 adresses to be sure i'll find a place
I've read that parking on the street is forbidden, and that the police is really strict. Is it real??
sarabyrd
Yes, it's real. Any of the camping sites should be decent and clean with running water, just remember to bring along your big garbage bags. And: Most beer, cola and mineral water bottles in Germany have a deposit on them. Don't throw them away, bring them back to the store/gas station or set them out nicely for the bums (cenciosi?) to collect.

I suspect that if you were to find anything cheaper, it would be quite a bit further out. I have seen several campers parked in the street but I don't think any were occupied, I would expect that the police will be strict about them if it is illegal
nicoo
Ok, thanks for your advices.I didn't know bottles have a deposit in Germany. Many years ago we had something like that also in Italy :=) However, bums means "vagabondi" or "mendicanti"."Cenciosi" is right, but so archaic
Yes gordon, I also expect them to be strict but you know, I'm italian:rules are not so hard-and-fast here (yes yes I say so only to reinforce stereotypes )

I bet you ogle the ladies as well Thanks for the correction.

We have used this before it's quite handy but you will need some German.

For sure sara..ahahahah...No, we court them, we're gentlemen ..Thanks trolly, but none of us can speak German, so....However,DeGasperi-Bogen parking' staff confirm via mail the prices told by Gordon..It's one of the most expensive campings I've found in Munich..It's quite sad that it is the first camping recommended on the site..The other campings cost between 7,50 and 10 € for the van, plus 5 € each person (per night)..they're really cheaper..so guys, don't go to the recommended parking of DeGasperi-Bogen!!!I've found a camping in Thalkirchen, near Tierpark..seems to be quite near oktoberfest, and it's served by U6 line..is it a quiet area (even by night)?

ps Sara, do you speak italian or use an online dictionary??
