Sewage Smells in the City - Hamburg

I live in the Othmarschen area and there are some strong sewage smells going on around here. Is this happening in other towns and is there anyone you can contact to complain about this matter. I want to be sure we are not inhaling toxic fumes.

I'm sure it happens all over the world, not just in the Othmarschen Area...

Unless your in a confined space such as a sewer, then the parts per million of methane
will not be anywhere near toxic levels. It just stinks, so your just going to have to deal with it..

Who can you complain too? If your sure its coming from the Sewers, the try your local water/sewer authority.

No smell in my area but then again bavarians are known to hold the handle down longer.

I was out and about today and didn't smell anything so I am guessing it must be something in the sewers in Othmarschen. I am sure it will be cleared up soon though- and I doubt there is ever toxic waste in any of the sewers here. There are strict laws and regulations regarding that type of stuff and they tend to be followed.
