Heligoland Ferry Trip - Hamburg

Thinking of day trip and this was suggested to me without much detail. Wonder if anyone has been or what they know?

... or you could fly (from Uetersen airfield) with Air Hamburg.

Must be like landing on an aircraft carrier......

We went to Helgoland earlier in the year. We enjoyed it although there isn't a lot to do there other than walk around the island, bird watch from the top of the island (and great views of the rock formations) and check out the huge crater from the WWII days (which is fine for a day trip). They advertise being duty free but I didn't think they were much cheaper than normal prices, if at all. We only made it to the main island, there is a second island really close by which I think is more sandy. There are plenty of food places on the island but I would suggest taking some nibbles for on the boat. It was a nice day trip but then I always enjoy getting out of the big city!

I found it to be really boring and the ferry ride took forever. I think there are much prettier spots to hit as a day trip like the Baltic, North Sea, Harz, etc. But I do know of some people who have enjoyed it
