Hi out there,
my kids were born and raised in California, since my husband and I are German, they are bilingual. When we moved here 2.5 months ago, we decided to try the German school system. My son will be starting 1st grade at Grundschule Gebelestrasse, and my daughter St. Anna Gymnasium in Lehel next week. With school start moving closer I get more and more anxious. The schools and how they "welcome" the kids (meaning it looks like they don't) is so different than we are used to. I always knew that there is nothing fuzzy about the German schools, but maybe never realized that it would be so frightening for me.

Is/was anybody here in a similar situation, and would like to talk?

Maybe there is even somebody out there, that has/had kids at these two schools?
