I'm looking for a property suitable for horses, within easy driving distance of Saarbrucken (e.g. 45 minutes maximum). My requirements are somewhat unusual (e.g. not a standard plot size), so I'm having trouble finding properties that match my criteria. Can anyone suggest estate agents (on-line or off) which offer a selection of properties along the following lines:
- Minimum 4 hectares (10 acres). It is is more, even a lot more, that is not a problem.
- Nice house with 3 bedrooms.
- If it has horse facilities already (e.g. horse boxes, paddocks, arena) it would be an advantage
- Budget 300K to 500K, depending on how close it comes to our ideal

I'm new to this forum, so I'll take the time to introduce myself, as I hope to join the community.
- I'm a Canadian, who left at age 29 to live in UK (11 years) and then in France (8 years).
- I'm married to a German (we met in the UK) and we are going to move back to Germany. She is originally from the Saarland area, with family in Saarbrucken. I speak a little German but hope this will improve once I'm living there.
- We have 5 horses, so we can't move until we find a suitable horse property in Germany. If it has enough land, we can build the facilities, provided the price is right.
- I work on the internet, so fortunately don't need to find a job in Germany. Just hope that the internet connections in rural Germany are better than here in rural France.

By the way, does anyone have a 'top 10 tips for moving to Germany'? I've been to Germany countless times over the past 20 years(visiting in-laws, shopping and so on) but as it has always been short trips this is not the same as living there. All the little things (e.g. health insurance) are a bit of a mystery to me. Asking the in-laws doesn't work, because they have always lived there, so don't have the perspective of what you need to do when moving to Germany.
