Munich city centre stores open until midnight

This coming Friday, September 4th, 2009, many Munich city centre shops and stores will stay open until midnight, in what has become a regular annual event (now in its 3rd year). The event, which starts officially at 18:00, is a celebration of shopping as a cultural activity, and many shops and stores will be offering various kinds of entertainment and special attractions to entice the discerning (remember: this is culture, right?) customer into their establishments.

So, if you usually spend your Friday nights agonising over how to spend your week's hard-earned cash, this is your chance! Go for it! Shop till you drop ... or until you turn into a pumpkin.
