Who's in and what date would be the best?
Friday: April 15th or 22nd?
Saturday: April 16th, 23rd?

I think Cranium, Taboo and the usual suspects will be on hand to play.
(Taboo is in German)

Friday would be a deifinite order out night and Saturday could be a pot luck grill out depending on the weather.
Johnny8008
I like the Saturday with grilling option, though could probably come later on Fri.

So I guess I'll cast my vote for Sat. 16 April
Gen
I like Saturday grills. I'm interested in the word games Saan mentioned, suspecting (s)he might be talking about Fictionary which I learned as Balderdash, one of my all-time favorite games.

April 16.
UrbanAngel
what kind of games? settlers? monopoly? scrabble? twister? wink.gif
eurovol
Cranium I think is a defo. I like Gen's "fictionary" idea of pseudo Balderdash and that was one that people wanted to play so that may just be the second table's game if we can whip something up. That might be fun using a German dictionary! laugh.gif

Ok, we need some more votes here. This Saturday looks to be cool and possibly rainy, but you know how the weather is around here. tongue.gif

Dammit.
Everytime this post comes up I click it automatically (and gleefully) thinking someone's set up some giant projector screens in their home and they're going to host a massive Playstation Gran Turismo or Tekken night or something...
You're talking about board games though aren't you?? ph34r.gif
Gen
indeedy do! Some may even be German-style board games
NOFXmike
I should have to work on saturday...but also should be off by the time any breakdancing or keg stands happen

SO, anybody have a final decision?

Saturday is looking like a grill and games party!

Who is in?
Johnny8008
Weather is looking good for Sat.

What time are you firing up the grill? What should we bring?
Gen
I'm in! Maybe hubby too, must check with him.
eurovol
Saturday April 16th it is.

Ok, I will fire the grill up 4:30ish so it will be ready to start cooking at 5ish.
Bring whatever you want to grill and any sides/snacks that you would like.
I will probably do some spuds and whip up a salad for those attending.
There is a Tengelmann right across the street, so you can buy stuff there as well.
Bring or buy drinks too.

Bring Cranium!

If it stays warm into the night, we can use the patio for playing as well. Normally, around 6:30-7ish it gets cool fast, but it is suppose to be really warm tomorrow.

PM for directions and post who all is coming.
Nisha? Kat? others?
Gen
I'll bring a dessert I think. Those're always fun.
NOFXmike
There's a 70% chance right now...my gf's mom has NEVER visited our apartment since I've lived here...and will be here tomorrow...so as soon as she leaves, umm...yeah. She's a drinker though, so not sure how long she'll stay...could be 30-minutes mid-day too though, then there's no problem. If we do make it, we'll grab some stuff for the grill or head to Tengelmann when we get there (since it's damn close).
eurovol
Have yet to hear from the people with Cranium, but no fear we have a large selection of games on hand. wink.gif
Nisha
Whoops, just noticed that Games night is tonight. ohmy.gif I will bring Cranium!!
Gen
We had a great time -- wanted to add that I've found both illustrators I was thinking of.
Gary Baseman illustrated Cranium, but I thought it was Travis Lampe. They are quite similar, also similar to Slug Signorino, who does the illustrations for the Straight Dope.
