Hey all
Just wanted to let you know about a cool little shop that I just found down the road from me. It has just opened. And I was surprised to see that that it is run by a fellow Toytowner.
It is in glochenbachviertal and sells funky clothes.
The address is Corneliusstraße 19.
Just thought I'd let you all know

I went there 2 days ago... Great shop (and a really nice owner ;-))!
I bought a lovely woolen cardigan, seventies style, to keep me warm in cold nights...
(Even though i hope it won't get too cold too soon, no matter how nice my cardigan is! :-D)
I will definitely be going back for one of those unique vintage dresses! ;-)

Hello, funny to see that someone got round to starting this thread first, and yes I do know them, so they had to say nice things! It would be great to get a few more Toytowners through the door, the shop has only been open for two weeks but it's going really well so far. Vertigo offers a range of women's vintage clothing and accessoiries, with most dating from the 50's to 80's. Plus for the Wiesn there is still a small selection of dirndl's, although they won't last much longer as they have been going fast!
There is no website yet as there has been a gazillion and one things to do before opening, but it'll be coming soon, don't worry. As stated before the address is 19 Cornelius Strasse, just of Gärtnerplatz in Glockenbach, the nearest U-bahn is Frauenhoferstrasse and the number 52 and 152 buses stop just a hundred meters away. The opening hours are:
11.00 till 6.30 Monday and Wednesday
11.00 till 7.00 Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
11.00 till 5.00 Saturday
Due to some problems at the printers my sign still isn't ready yet but you can't miss the shop, the 70's wallpaper is definitely too garish to miss. It would be lovely to have some more Toytown vistors!

Any plans to start selling a range of clothes for men?

For a preview of what's on offer why not become a fan of Vertigo Vintage on Facebook, the page has just gone live with lots of photos of the shop and info over opening hours etc.. In the coming weeks there will also be product preview pictures posted. Just search for "Vertigo Vintage" and become a fan.
In answer to the above question, there are no plans to have menswear in the shop mainly due to space contraints, however there will be an online shop so perhaps long term there may also be some menswear, if so we'll make sure to post it on TT!

What range of sizes do you stock? Shops looks great from the photos.

Hello, we stock a range of sizes, at present it is mostly small to medium, as a lot of older clothes are small made, a 46 in past times is not necessarily the same as a 46 these days. That said there are some larger dresses and coats as well. It's not always possible to control what sizes we get in so it can vary from week to week. As we get more established this is something we hope to improve on.
There are also shoes and boots from 36 to 42, again this varies week to week. Plus we have a range of bags, jewellery, belts and scarfs so there should be something for everyone.
Hope you can pop in and have a look around!
And for anyone who is struggling for a Halloween costume, or is going to a retro themed party why not give us a try?
