Sam's Sports Bar (or something like that) in Sachsenhausen shows the occasional football/baseball/basketball game, but when I was there to catch a March Madness game, they only had 2 TVs showing the game, so you probably want to call ahead and see if they will be showing the game you want to see. Other than that I'm not sure what other options there are. You can do the whole ESPN360 thing if you have an internet connection, but that's 10€ a month.
I'm not a Bears fan, but I'd definitely be down for catching a football game.

I just moved to Frankfurt from Chicago, but I am originally from Wisconsin which makes me a huge Packers fan. Normally the last person I would want to watch football with is a bears fan, but considering all the favre drama I guess it's better than a vikings fan. Too bad the Packers-Bears game will be on at 3am here, that would be a fun one to watch.
There's a bar in Bornheim called "Yours" and it's an American sports bar. I have not been there, but I hear they do play American football games (although everytime I've walked by there has been soccer on).
Anyway, if you can put up with a packers fan I'd be interesting in watching some football.

sounds great, even though it's not with bad news bears fans.
if i pump myself with a lot of coffee, i might be down with watching that 3am game in the bar. and depends if work will be calling my name the next day. let's keep each other posted when there's a game we're interested in seeing.
thanks, kirstin

Bad news bears? Cutler, Forte, Olsen, Hester: that offence has got some weapons this year. Now, if only Urlacher can shake off that funk he's been in for the past two seasons and get that defence working again, it might make it interesting this year. Well, the season doesn't start for another couple of weeks: anything is still possible.

yay! we have some chicagoans! and a wicker parker!. where you guys from? i also need to catch up on my chicago accent. it's going away and i don't know how i'll communicate when i travel home. now we just need to find a bar that is broadcasting the game. sunday night could be okay, but "monday night" football might be too difficult to watch. i wonder if there's a place that will have re-broadcast the game even the next day. we need a bar with a tivo. and hopefully the offense will kick ass this year, they always seem to have that problem.
