I live on a narrowboat in England, and would like some information about boating and mooring (in a general sense) around Germany.

Does anyone have tips and recommendations about books, agencies, or any other resources?

I would be especially interested in more facts about the Saar. During a recent visit I was a bit bewildered by the marina.... and regulations about the city centre.... and all that.

Any thoughts would help.
