Plant Market in Hamburg

I was in Bremen yesterday and came across a market there selling great looking plants at really great prices. My local markets don't have plants, but does anyone know of a Hamburg market selling plants?

I have only been to Hamburg once (I must go again).

A lasting memory was of the Fischmarkt. They throw plants and bananas and whatever else at you. It is nail-biting it is like an auction. Anyway, I am sure others who live in Hamburg will have other ideas. I just wanted to reminisce.

The fischmarkt still sells plants every Sunday if you wait till closing time @ about 10ish they are sold quite cheaply, we had one near Hertie in Bramfeld which just closed down such a pity they had everything including soil, flowers plants etc. I'll keep an eye out and post again if I find any other places :-)

I shall have to go and check out the Fisch Markt again soon - haven't been in ages. Thanks guys .

I was at Ikea Saturday at the Moorfleet branch and they had some nice selection of plants, Max Bahr as well at the branch in Bramfeld

The REWE in Alsterdorf seems to always have plants forsale outside the enterence. A pretty good selection considering the size of the store. I believe they are mostly outside type of plants, but some where pretty small and could be inside types. And they have a couple pallots of potting soil (sold in 10lb bags).

Additionally, when walking to the REWE from the Ubahn there is what I believe to be a flower shop -- I've never gone inside but I have noticed the racks of plants they display on the sidewalk many times. I believe these to be more inside type of plants.

There are two plant shops in and around Grindlehof. One is on the street while the other is to the left. Can't remeber the name but if you turn left at the small roundabout (when facing away from the radio tower) walk to the end of the st and go right you will find it.
