After the tents close down, where are the hot bars to hop to? Looking for something close by that has extended hours thursday night or friday night.

If you need to go to a bar after the Wiesn, you haven't been to the Wiesn!

I expect you could go on to another bar if you only drank 1 mass and started late. Like at 8pm. Many will be starting at 5pm or earlier and will be up on the benches at full tilt by 8pm.

Hello.

In a similar vein. I'll be making my first trip to the wiesen this year.To take a little break from the festivities, I was planning on watching a spot of football and was wondering if there are any bars close by that are likely to be showing Liverpool v Chelsea?
Thanking You

It would probably worth getting further away from the Wiesn to watch TV in a pub.

I have resverations at the Wiesn on the 3rd. and I hope this place is worth the visit, besides I will be leaving the fest area around 2:00p.m. on a Saturday!!!

just a small tip. After all the main tents are closing, head to the Käfer tent (outside beer garden area) which is open for a bit longer (extra hour???) Don't wait till all the other tents close since that is where the masses head for one last beer, although you will not have access to the house itself. Hope this helps!

The same goes for the Ammer tent, a small but rocking place - open until 11:30pm, Augustiner beer from wooden kegs.

there is a hipster place called SUBSTANZ on Rupprect str.
with great music pool tables foosball pinball and a small dance floor its full of the late 20s early 30s non snobbish with-it munichers
its a half a block passed the pocci str/rupprect str intersection on the south side of the festival grounds.
if you like rock-a-billy and a over the top fiftys rocker scene hit TUMULT on Bluten str..its in schwabing but worth it.

Off the main Wiesn site, many go to the Kultfabrik or Optimolwerk near Ostbahnhof as it's a huge party area with tons of bars and clubs open all night. Get a taxi.
Hacker-Pschorr at Theresienhöhe is staggering distance from the Wiesn and is thus very popular, often with people who didn't get into a tent. Likewise, Wiesnzelt at Stiglmaierplatz (further away, but still a choice for those who didn't get in).
Schrannenhalle Wiesn-Nächte near Marienplatz is very central and also popular - so much that they are doing ticketing this year!

M-Park and Nachtgalarie (NAGA) both on Landsbergerstr. attract a young crowd. Backstage is more for the indie & rock kids.

For football, Ned's/Kilian's, Molly's and Outland - all are relatively near S-Bahn stations so will be busy.

If you are in the middle of a Wiesn depression, Lamm's at Sendlinger Tor will be just the ticket as it will suit your mood and it never stops serving.

Wiesn-Portal has a good list, including some of the more glamourous places (Lenbach, The Garden, 8 Seasons...), the ones I've listed are more likely to let in someone who is slightly rat-arsed.

The Weinzelt is also open til 1am. No beer unfortunately after 9pm and then only Weissbier.
