Hello
I am currently live in London and would like to move to Germany with my wife and raise kids overthere.
We traveled a lot Berlin, Munich, Hanburg, Dueseldeorf , Frankfurt and we really liked the Munich and Hamburg.
What is your opinion please about the best city for jobs, schools, and people? I ve hearad so many stories that people in Hamburg and North Germany are lot more friendly with foreigners than in Munich and Bavaria.
Any expiriences with kids in local schools as well?
Your help would be much appreciated, I work in IT 9 Network Administration) and wife is an English teacher (TESOL, TEFL)
THANKS
Marko

Hey Marko,
Your best bet is to punch city names into the search field (top right) and add "kids" or "family," etc. This topic has been covered, but never asked in such shotgun fashion, so you'll have better results searching for specific cities and poking around the "Life in xyz" sections. Good luck.

I live in Berlin. I think it is a great place to raise kids - if you have enough money, that is, a job; something that comes relatively scarce in Berlin. If you have a job you can do from anywhere, go to Berlin; if not, your first consideration should be the place where your family could get food on the table.

Freiburg is fantastic to grow up in. Not too big, not too small, beautiful countyside nearby, Baechle, Kinderfreundlich, an alternative, international "touch", friendly people and a University.
