This Monday there is a quiz night in Hexenkessel on Schellingstr. at the corner of Schwindstrasse, nearest U Bahn is Josephsplatz. Starts at 8, questions are in German and English. Entrance fee is 2 Euros per person, winner takes all, the second placed team gets a 5 Euro drinks / food voucher per person. There are also several bonus questions for a round of schnaps, and the landlord usually makes sure that everybody gets something. And on Mondays they even have a special on burgers to accompany the Augustiner beer....

It's a good fun quiz.
With a chance to improve your German if you wish, by only listening to the questions in German.
There's also a good choice of very reasonably-priced food available as well.

Is there a quiz night this upcoming Monday, November 9th? We've come two times and had a great time at both. We are even recruiting and our number is growing rapidly. So please be the bearer of good news and tell us if it is on. Thanks
p.s. if I can make one teeny eeny request...this apologetic American would like the questions to be asked just a bit more clearly, slowly, and if possible in a more neutral accent. You know how we Yanks are lousy at foreign languages (and yes Scottish, British English and Australian are foreign languages to us. I even used subtitles when watching the news in Australia). Pitiful I know but your help is appreciated.

Hello,
I´m fresh in Munich and still struggling with the German keyboard so please don't mind the typo's...
I'll be looking forward to join the quiz evening this Monday.
Are there any formalities I should know off?

Well OHDFC Colin, my plan is to down a few shots of scotch and don a tartan skirt for tonight. This might help tune my hearing to the melodious scottish accent.
Also, Ansofi you can definitely join in the fun as long as you can understand German or English (Scottish English that is Heehee). Our group is made up of mainly Frenchies. Come say hello tonight or, if you are in need of a group, you are welcome to join us! A ce soir.
