Various Events at Riegerplatz in Darmstadt

Hey Darmstadters,

There are a lot of posters in town about a flea market at Riegerplatz this coming Saturday (Aug. 20th). Does anyone know if it's worth checking out, or is anyone planning to go?

There's also an Open Air Kino on Tuesday 25th where they're showing a free movie at the same place. I couldn't find any information on what they're going to show though (let's hope it's Inglourious Basterds... ) Again anyone interested in checking that out please give me a shout.

Yes, was at both events: the flea market was more like a garage sale (clothes, records, toys etc.) I bought an old little candle stand and my friend bought a DVD (he made me swear not to tell a soul what he bought).

They showed some of the short films from the Raindance Film Festival at the Open Air Kino. The turnout was pretty good and there was a beer/snack stand too. However, it was kind of drizzly and we didn't bring our own chairs (but lots of chocolate and potato chips!) so we ended up in 3klang for the rest of the evening.

darmstadt: think I'll go and check that out on Sunday/Monday!
