Hiya
Tchibo preview for next week.
Yep. That really is motorbike gear.
So you could have got the helmet last week in Aldi and now Tchibo for the rest.

my mate got all his ski-ing gear in Tchibo

They are also bringing out a postpaid O2 phone deal, the tariffs are meant to be excellent, I will pass on details as I get them...

Strange shop though, underwear and coffee are strange bed partners!!
Katrina
Yeah the prepaid is excellent value and I've also heard that the postpaid will have great rates.
If you ever need the English language description, try Tchibo UK
That's a TÜV certified jacket but I don't know enough about them to say if it is good or not.
Best sports bras for the money there too (just as info for other ladies).
grtho
Tchibo now make more money from non coffee items as than with their traditional products.

PS Plus ("Chavtastisch") had motorbike gear too...
Wee Mun
I will have the rates for Tchibo post paid in 3 or 4 months, as I will be testing this at O2 before it goes into production smile.gif
Katrina
LIDL will have motorbike gear as from 11th April for much cheapness (and golf stuff at the bottom of the page).

I have been here for some time now, but I still do not understand what kind of store Tchibo is:It has something to do with coffee, you can buy coffe there, you can even drink it, but you can also buy other stuff?

I think Tchibo have a great business concept. Forget the coffee for a minute. They have these cheap little stores that cannot hold any real stock of anything...but they use them as rotating shop fronts with new stuff at cheap prices every week.

The problem must be when stock doesnt sell - do they rotate it into different countries? or do you see it again next year on sale etc?
Katrina
Johnny, they have a few solutions for that.
Some of the things turn up the following year, the UK/IRE stores are usually 1 week behind the German/Swiss/Austrian, they offer "Nice Price" and have a sale once a year in January.
Alternatively you can see certain textiles turn up in TK Maxx in the UK.

Don't and Will not Shop at Tchibo- as one of the Board members is a patient, and he is an absolute ASSHOLE! Treats people badly- like me, my secretary, and the doctor's assistant, but kisses the doctor's ass. I hate that and do not respect it, so I no longer shop there! mad.gif
JoolyBooly
your loss, they have some great toys, why let some asshole ruin your shopping?! biggrin.gif

Penny Markt will be doing motorcycle gear as of 28th March. Scroll down to see the range.
Their geraniums are in stock today (hey, this is news for old gits you know).
As for bikewear per se, Munich's nicest shop is probably Bikeway. They speak English (well they did to 2 Indians on Friday afternoon who were looking at back protectors), give you free coffee or juice, have lots of secondhand bits in the basement and are very nice to boot.
Talking of boots, if anyone dares to laugh at my fairy biker boots, I shall kick them somewhere not pleasant (and yes, I do mean you sunshine).

I like Louis http://www.louis.de and they have great deals if you get their 'membership' card (which is free of charge) - discounts ranging between 10 - 33% off everything.

@JB- if I shop there, I support him, with my purchases, and I will not do that! I hope he rots in poverty hell!
