One Room in Large Flat in Mitte - Berlin

I have just moved into my lovely apartment on Rosenthaler Str. in a building dating from 1850 in the heart of Mitte's fashion district. It is a renovated "Altbau".

I am offering a generous sized airy room with large window and view to the Sophienstr. The room has new wood parkett floors, radiator, high ceilings, and many electrical points. Ideal for a double bed, with space for all bedroom furniture you will need to live comfortably. The bedroom is also on the other side of the living room away from my own, making it private and quiet. I can provide a single bed *one of the most comfortable beds you will ever sleep on* and book shelf. You can do what you want with your room but we understand from our house management company that all the walls will need to be reverted to white wash when we leave.

Rosenthaler Str. is a great location with a supermarket 2 minutes across the road, numerous high fashion shops, banks, trendy restaurants and Cafe's.

The rest of the apartment is currently being furnished. I am a great lover of quality furniture, so I hope to have it looking really nice. The kitchen is very airy with kitchen island and bar stools and lots of food preparation areas. There is also space for a food cabinet and you will have your own fridge. Plates, glasses, cutlery, pans etc. will all be shared. There is a dishwasher and a large pull out oven with hob. We also have a Gaggia espresso/cappuccino machine in case you like coffee as much as we do!

The living room is at the centre of the apartment with the kitchen and your room leading off. We have a nice glass dining table and a sofa has been bought which we are picking up shortly, we also have a nice chase longue at the back. We have a crystal chandelier which will be installed soon. Beautiful artwork adorns the walls of the hallway and living room.

The bathroom is large with windows and there is space for your own bathroom cabinet if you want. There is also a washing machine, iron, ironing board and clothes rack available.

The apartment is 2 mins away from S-Bahn Hackeshermarkt, U-Bahn Weinmeisterstr. (U8), Tram and 7 mins from (Rosa-Luxembourg-Platz (U2)). Its also in easy walking distance to the Museum Island, Unter den Linden and Fredrichstr.

The rent is 450 EUR including utilities (heating, water, electricity) and very fast Internet (32mb) with Wi-Fi connection. The base rent for the room is 350 EUR and 100 for the extras as noted. I am undercutting myself here!
The deposit is one months rent. I am looking for someone to stay minimum 6 months.

I am a female British student (20/female) together with my best friend (21/male). I study in Berlin, enjoy going out, baking, art and fashion. There is a great art scene in Berlin and there are hundreds of galleries close by. He studies philosophy, economics and music. We are very nice and we hope for someone who is really nice too; we all have to live together!
