Baby Smile 24 (a German photography company)

Anyone ever work for this firm? Are they ok?

One of my friends is considering working for this firm. Seems they do not want you to be a trained photographer as they want to train you themselves. (Doesn't this sound odd?) They pay for your training, but you have to pay your way there. This just sort of set alarm bells off with me. They are in 1st place on Google, and the photos look good as do the prices. Has anyone worked for them or done training with them? Hate to see my friend waste her time with a firm that isn't quite what it seems to be. I hope someone can provide some accurate information about them.

Here's a discussion in German about Babysmile: http://www.chefkoch.de/forum/2,22,478422/Hat-hier-jemand-Erfahrung-mit-den-BabySmile-Fotografen-im-Krankenhaus.html It looks as if your friend might need to have a camera that meets their requirements.

Perhaps trained photographers would be more expensive and have their own ideas about how they'd want to work. Maybe the job would be OK if your friend is just looking for work, but if she wants a career as a photographer, and has to pay for photography training anyway, I'd have thought it would be better to do a decent training course which doesn't just involve photographing babies and perhaps find photography work on the side.
