Me too. Any help out there? Looking for either skirt or flank steak to make our beloved carne asada (also looking for real corn tortillas or masa harina flour to make our own...any stores that sell authentic Mexi groceries?)

We have a good butcher who used to work on cruise ships (so know the US cuts). He was working at the Edeka in the Mercado in Ottensen (Herr Pohtsar I think his name is). Did a good thanksgiving turkey at least and is always really helpful.
Mexican supplies have been more difficult to come by. Corn flour is available, but its never the same. Some of the Asian markets sell a range of non German foods (not just Asian) and can have some decent peppers etc but its hit and miss. One near the Karstadt in Eimsbuttel springs to mind.

There is a Mercado on Winterhuder Weg that I looove. You can get masa there or buy frozen corn or flour tortillas. I make enchladas with the corn ones and they are wonderful. They also have refried beans and make a killer caihpi.
