Agreed. I saw it a few months ago in the US before all the hype; had no idea what I was getting into but I loved it. Very different & very good.

Have just finished the book - Excellent read.

Its a good movie with some decent points (on human interaction) but nothing spectacular in my opinion and the ending is bullshit - if it was real he would have finished drunk or hung himself in the shower or something.

yeah, I wish I was at screen 2 last night! I saw "Aquatic bla bla", the film was so bad I can't even remember the name, and the projector broke so we waited an hour to see what was no doubt a crap ending, but will never know and they couldn't fix the machine...
