And where did ''does that mean no pay and relying on tips?'' come from?

That's what I made from it.
Even though it doesn't sound convincing.
And why bother translating it into German if your customers and you can't speak in a common language.

I say if kijiji won't accept an English ad aimed at English-speakers, screw 'em. There's always Craig's List...

Well if you're going to write it in German please wait for someone to correct that babelfish version, because it's awful!

Luckily for me, the majority of Hamburgers speak some degree of English. It has never really been an issue, some prefer it actually, as a way to learn both English and guitar simultaneously.

I'd say:

Not sure what to say for 'located in'... somehow none of the German words leo throws up feel right...

"Located in" would best be stated as "Standort: Eimsbüttel".

I would keep the headline in English, if possible: Hamburg's English speaking guitar teacher, followed by translation from MichiS or Kyllmann. I also prefer Gitarre lernen auf Englisch to Hamburgs englischsprachiger Gitarrenlehrer which doesn't sound very catchy in German.

It would also be interesting to know if you speak some German as well.
