Hello all!

I'm new to the Toytown message board, although I've been an avid reader in the past, as I've lived and studied in Germany multiple times. However, I finally find myself needing some specific advice and hope to appeal to the wisdom of the other members!

My partner is moving to Germany in November to the Allgaeu region, specifically to work in Blaichach. He will be working there on a 6 month assignment. Now I absolutely love the country - I was a German major in college, spending time in both Stuttgart and Munich. I'd love to move with him in the fall. The only problem is that we don't have the finances in place to sustain both of us on his income alone. So, I'm in a sticky position - I can't go over there unless I can find work, and I really need to know before I take the plunge and leave my job in the States whether I will be able to find a position. I'm not looking to make a lot of money, just enough here and there to help pay all the bills.

Could you give me an idea of what the job situation looks like in this region and whether anybody knows of any employment leads? My background is as a marketing and public relations professional, but as I say, I'm willing to do most anything. I was born in the UK, schooled in the US, and obtained an International Baccaleurate diploma before double-majoring in college, so I have a very diverse background. I'm fluent in English, very proficient in German, and a very strong writer (some of my works have been published online).

I'm really open to anything - office work, teaching/tutoring English, working remotely - any leads would be helpful, even if you know of popular job sites or posting boards. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!
