There has been poison found in Perlacher Forst. We know two dogs who have been poisoned, one of which died, and have heard of two others. The forest service has posted a warning at the Wörnbrunn Biergarten that poison bait with screws hidden inside was found, but the two dogs we know were poisoned close to the Fasangarten entrance parking lot, so it could really be anywhere.
Remember, if you suspect that your dog has eaten anything suspicious, take it to the vet immediately to have vitamin K administered (reverses the effects of rat poison), as the symptoms (at least with rat poison) do not show up until it is too late.
The 2nd dog we know survived because of this, as the owner smelled leberwurst on her breath after she ran off into the woods and came back licking her lips. He had it administered immediately. Good thing, as it turns out. She had been poisoned. There were some vomiting and convulsions, but she survived.
People are sick.
