O2 end or the other one? I'm not good with this North/South/East/West thing.
This is a disaster.
For my nutritional status.

So when ARE we meeting? It sounds like it will be a day or two. This could by an ideal excuse for a walk/bus ride and be my first post-op TT event

YES
GBR - Top of the stairs out of the U-Bahn
You know what to do
PS Blimeygirl I now have a vision of you with a fishing rod with a crispy strip on the end waving it in front of Tom17 so that he does his therapeutic walks...

Georg-Brauchle-Ring is closest for the guy with the sticks. To be honest it looks about even on the map...but people on here have said GBR as opposed to OEZ. You can walk from OEZ too, depends on what lengths you will go to for chicken. We can't make it to Gunthers as Tom has to rest his leg but mini field trips (like the kind where you get chicken at the end) are permitted

The U-Bahn stop is
Georg-Brauchle-Ring NOT
OEZ. I only say this because it isn't between the two stops (although these two U-Bahn stops really are quite close), but it's literally at the top of the stairs of the GBR North-East exit (exit the direction the train is going on the right).
Enjoy!

I found without any problems. Went in and joined the shortest queue...big mistake. The person in front took about 10 minutes because all her vouchers confused the trainee at the register and the bill got all messed up. Took 2 managers to sort it out.
But finally got to order. I got a family bucket with 8 pieces of chicken, 2 large fries and I ordered gravy, wanting just the sauce but ended up get mashed potato wish gravy...which I don't like.
That said the chicken was really good and the rest of the family enjoyed it as well.

We went there and bumped into Pootle and Katrina. My crutches got us table service from a (we think) manager, which was nice.
The crispy strips were a bit plain and small, but the chicken pieces were mmmm finger lickin good!!

We waited about half an hour in line, it was pretty full. The manager-johnny was handing out free drinks but started behind us. All the tables were taken inside and out so we crashed out on the fresh, crispy, comfy grass outside looking very American. The food was standard: The coleslaw was watery, the fries even worse than McD's, the coating (original and hot'n'spicy) very good. Free refills means only softdrinks (Pepsi, 7Up etc.). The staff were run off their feet but very calm, cheerful and helpful. Take the bike if you can to work off the calories.

Well what's a really long thread about fast food without pics?

So yeah...no biscuits...but corn on the cob and mashed with gravy looked pretty yummy. I would give the fries a miss but the lovely tasty Colonel's secret recipe and the endless soft drinks makes up for it. There is not that much seating...but there is a nice outdoor bit and I suspect when it is less busy people will find a seat no problem.
The managerial guy said if this location does well then they will be opening more!
He said it was all up to us...ah the burdens we must bear

Tank:Here you go, buddy; "Breakfast of Champions."
Mouse: If you close your eyes, it almost feels like you're eating runny eggs.
Apoc: Yeah, or a bowl of snot.
Mouse: Do you know what it really reminds me of? Tasty Wheat. Did you ever eat Tasty Wheat?
Switch: No, but technically, neither did you.
Mouse: That's exactly my point. Exactly. Because you have to wonder: how do the machines know what Tasty Wheat tasted like? Maybe they got it wrong. Maybe what I think Tasty Wheat tasted like actually tasted like oatmeal, or tuna fish. That makes you wonder about a lot of things. You take chicken, for example: maybe they couldn't figure out what to make chicken taste like, which is why chicken tastes like everything.
It's one of those roads you really don't want to go down, Roots !

I just had
KFC for the second time today and 2 days in a row. I finally got just a carton of their gravy and unfortunately it was a bit watery compared to the stuff back in Ireland or England. Still, can't complain about the chicken. Damn good stuff
