Michael Jackson flashmob on Marienplatz - Munich

Other cities have them, what's Munich's problem?

NycLabrets
Been seeing this ad for this Tribute Show all over Munich for the last couple of months, snapped another pic of it weeks before he died that was hanging on the fence around a Catholic Church right by an Elementary School, (since pulled), as an interesting juxtaposition.

This one is currently in the Marienplatz in back of the baby blue Hacker-Pschorr umbrellas right by the Rindermarkt Intersection:

So, I'm wondering given the wide open nature of the Marienplatz, why hasn't any enterprising German gone ahead and organized a Michael Jackson Flash Mob there?

Considering how germans plan everything for months in advance, surely it will take another couple of months before they have an hour free, oder?

i think there already was one. the sunday of the weekend he died, on marienplatz.. never saw, but saw it on a few people's face book.. maybe they require less organisation than we think

If you're reading this thread, just wanted to add that the tribute show was incredible. It will return to Munich in May and is totally worth it. And of course, This Is It, the movie, is playing Oct. 28th at Cinema Muenchen.

yes, it is a real loss to the music scene.
I whish he would had lived to 120 years. now that he is dead I have to bear this stupid ideas, movie and jacko stories and listen to his songs every 15 min on radio.
RIP MJ.

What a stupid thing to write. You wish he was still alive, but you never want to hear anything from him ever again? Surely if you are a fan, you would be happy as a pig in poo at all the airplay?

I think it was a tragedy that Michael Jackson was apparently killed accidentally, but pop celebrities just don't tend to age well. Jackson was definitely an example.

What's the big thing with flash mobs? Seems really childish to me.

Not to mention outdated. They started those a couple of years before I left Munich. Lookie what we can do now that everyone has mobile phones! Only difference now is Twitter.
