Filling a US prescription at a German pharmacy

Where to do this in Kaiserslautern or nearby

visitor2
My husband and I are from the SF Bay Area and are visiting family in Weselberg near Kaiserslautern. His doctor gave him a prescription to refill. He is almost out of his medication. Does anyone know of a pharmacy to fill it? Or, a doctor who can see him and approve his prescription? Your helpful response will be appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. We will be here til the 28th of July.

He'll have to go to a doctor here and get a new prescription which he can then take to any pharmacy to get filled. Depending on the type of medication (and whether it's available in Germany, of course) you can see any general practicioner that is willing to give you an appointment. Either phone first or just walk in and ask. Do the people you are visiting not have a family doctor?

I had this problem too. You have two options: you could get a doctor in the U.S. to send you a prescription in the mail (express) that you could fill, but this would be the more expensive option. The other option is to seek a general practioner and get a prescription that way. Hope this helps!

You would expect a German pharmacist to fill a US prescription? Some hope!

Yes, they actually allow this. But you would have to pay a lot of money for it. That's what a doctor in the hospital told me, anyway.
