Anythings better than bayern fans who never sing on the ubahn, even when they've won. Most morbid bunch of bastards I have ever seen in my life.

in theory you have to be a member. At least you do to order online. For the last match people did mention various outlets in town though - don't know if you have to show evidence of membership when buying there.

Should be a bit warmer this time around at least
pepper
Cannot see Bayern winning this one, come to think of it, think that is also Liverpool out. Although the Italian in my office is a Juve fan, so COME ON YOU REDS !
boomtown_rat
is that the first time those two have met since Heysel?

YEAH !

You and I will be having words Mr Lions. dry.gif
Or rather I won't coz I'll be too busy singing.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPER SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPER FCB!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPER SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPER FCB!

Have to agree with Mr Lions on this one. German sports fans in general are the most miserable and hard to please in the world...

After the Arsenal game all you could here on the U-Bahn were the FCB fans moaning about the goal they conceded and not a word about the peformance and the fact that they actually won by a high enough margin.

I have witnessed it often. They are never bloody satisfied that lot
SleeplessInMunich
I think you mean Arsenel...
Chuck Fadanoid
I found this comment odd:
(From Grauniad)
"It is a big draw," said Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon. "There are no easy games at this stage and we are delighted to be here. We have got to give respect to Bayern, they have won it four times and are the only team to win three in a row.

The only team except for Ajax (3 in a row) and Real Madrid (5 in a row).

I don't care too much for Chelsea but I hope they well and truly stuff Bayern. And I agree with 3 Lions about their fans, you see them on U-Bahn in town after a match and by the looks on their faces you'd always guess that Bayern had lost. FC stupid-denim-wearing-bemulletted-soft-rock-listening-bayern-crap.

The suedkurve are decent enough singers but the lack of atmosphere is generally the day trippers fault. One match a year and all they do is stuff their faces for 90 mins. Take the burger out of your mouth and give us a song.
Crawlie
Mmmmmmmmmmmm... Burgers...
flogger
basically the stadium is fundamentally to blame for no kunt singing.
whats the point, its impossible to generate any meaningful noise..its all drowned out due to the design. its an ancient athletic stadium. hence the big fcuk off speakers pitchside.

yes the suedkurve try and raise the game but mostly in an attempt to keep warm. generally hear a pin drop if it stays 0-0 for longer than 20 mins.

only game there was a decent atmosphere from distant memory was when we stuffed the locals 5-1 and little mickey notched a hat trick in sep 2001.

lovely even the home end was rocking as we had loads in there too.
cheers dfb. nice one.

Here's hopin' Chelski stuff 'em tongue.gif
pepper
DISAGREE, was there for the Bayern Celtic game and the singing from the Celtic fans was unbelievable.

And was also here during the Liverpool v Bayern Super Cup when Bayern lost and Sept 2001 when Owen scored a hatrick, the bayern fans had no energy to sing even though their team were losing, it was just blaming the players, no the better team won or anything !
Schotte
yo Pepper was it hard to get tickets for the Bayern Celtic game? Just interested as I almost came over for it as it coincided with the Oktoberfest if i remember correctly.

anyone got tickets for this game then against Chelsea and whats the damage if you have?
pepper
Sorry have no idea, got tickets thru' the company, but unlikely to get anymore. A friend of mine, (who is currently sick, I really hope he returns soon) is a Bayern season ticket holder, so gets me tickets regularly for Bayern games, even though he knows I HATE Bayern.

I only go when I know its the good games, e.g. Bayern v Dortmund 2002, Lehmann sent off, and Kohler goes in goal, but Dortmund still lose, JUST.
Jeeves
Actually I think it was Koller (the Czech striker) who went in goal.
flogger
herman munster
pepper
@ Jeeves, yes you are right sorry. Because of his height, he was actually quite good in goal ! Although Lehmann was pretty stupid in that game, arguing with the Ref.
Topsy
Lehmann is pretty stupid in most games, isn't he?
Dummkopf if ever there was one...
Trig
got some 45Euro tickets for 30Euros for the bayern - aresnal match. Got them from a tout(?) right at kick off.

So tickets should still cost 45Euros. But you may end up paying more from a tout as i am sure there will be a higher demand for tickets.

bf went this a.m. and stood in line with the hopes of finding a nice soul who would "loan" him their memberhsip i.d. worked out swell. 1.5 hrs. of standing in line and €60 a piece (okay, main tribune and covered). said had tixs for €45 too.

Chelsea have just been charged by Uefa for telling deliberate 'Lies' after the 1st game against Barcelona.

Story Here

If found guilty they could get anything from a fine up to even being kicked out of the competition.

How far do you think Uefa will go? I cant see them being kicked out.

On the other hand, I reckon Uefa, although they have distanced themselves from the referee row, could use this as a chance to get back at Mourihno?
flogger
they will no doubt fine him something in the region of a months wages, about 100k which the ruski will cough up and on we go...and the whole pointless issue will soon be forgotten hopefully.

but as it is..its terrible coz it gives extra publicity to jokers like vidal baboon frisk.

uefa is another toothless wank organisation like the un,fa and bbc.
pepper
Too much of a scandal if they kicked them out, as Chelsea are one of the favs to win it. Will just be a big fine, me thinks !

But agree with Flogger, any ref caught talking indept to one of the coaches/managers at half time is sort of also asking for trouble. They need to sort out this problem with refs giving indifferent performances.
Topsy
kick chelski out of the comp for a couple of years! seriously.
sorry to say it being as it's a british team and all, but mourinho was well dodgy to start the accusations flying. I mean, where will it end? You can't just fine a manager a couple of weeks' wages for whipping up such hatred against a ref that he gets death threats and retires from reffing!
I hope UEFA set an example and ban them from european competition for a couple of years.
Hopefully we won't see a repeat of Heysel, though, where all English clubs have to carry the burden caused by the irresponsible behaviour of the few...
flogger
people died at heysel due partly to the fact that the match should never have been played in a decrepid shagged out ole stadium unfit for a major final...
thatcher then pulled our teams out of europe way b4 uefa decided to ban british teams..

all mourinho has done is slagged off a ponsy ref who believed his own media, jose did something the p1ss artist ferguson has been getting away with for donkeys years..

people like mourinho bring style, class and humour to the game. obviously hes gonna wind up the boring wig wearing faggotts at the fa and uefa but so what, lifes so dull without characters and emotions.
Topsy
Mourinho brings humour? What's so funny about death threats?
pepper
Mourinho did not make any death threats, that the fans (SUPPOSEDLY !).

Although this is not altogether a ploy that Man U has not played, saying things about other coaches/managers, referees etc, BUT because it's Man U and he only says it in the premiership the FA are too lazy/weak to do anything about Sir Alex.
pepper
Anyway we should be supporting the English clubs in Europe, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Newcastle. Don't want Bayern winning the Champions League do we ? And no chance for a UEFA cup though, all the German teams went out a long time ago !
Topsy
Of course Mourinho didn't make the death threats himself, he's not that stupid is he?
Pointless to have a football discussion on this site at times, why does it always turn into ManU bashing? rolleyes.gif

QUOTE

Nope, he deliberately fabricated a story that wasnt true, in order to try and wind up Barcelona and discredit the referee. Chelsea took Mourihno at his word and followed it up with a written complaint to Uefa, so they now look stupid and part of the blame. So its not just a case of what Uefa do, it could also be interesting how Chelsea deal with him as well, obviously depending on what the outcome of the hearing is.

Fergie & Wenger may wind each other up, but they never deliberately lie to discredit the other.
flogger
all mourinho said is that he saw the opposition coach gobber ryjkard go into vidal baboon frisks hair saloon at half time to 'discuss tight perms' or maybe the direction the game was heading.

he did not lie.
he either saw it or didnt.
i know who i believe.

man u bashing, pointless, 3rd best team in england.

From the BBC -

QUOTE
"When I saw Rijkaard entering the referee's dressing room I couldn't believe it," Mourinho was quoted as saying on 27 February.

"When Didier Drogba was sent off I didn't get surprised."

However, Gaillard said Chelsea's claims were false.

"It is physically impossible for the two people who say they saw Frank Rijkaard enter Anders Frisk's dressing room to actually see the door of the dressing room from where they stood," he said.

"We also have a signed statement from Jose Mourinho in which he says he saw Rijkaard go into the dressing room which is contradictary to Chelsea's statement."

Report here
flogger
so gobber rijkard didnt enter the hairdressing salon?
i doubt it.
3 Lions
Flogger, the facts are there for you to see.

Mourinho made up the story(Which ended up with the resignation of a FIFA listed referee), he tried to play a clever mind game with gobber Rijkard and ended up catching himself out. Chelsea are in it too cos they backed him up.

When he was desribed as an 'Enemy of Football' - he threatened legal action unless the statement was withdrawn and an apology issued.

He's now been branded a 'Liar' (A much worse accusation IMO) by Uefa, and he so far has said nothing about it. Mourinho is not the type to sit back if he has done nothing wrong.
flogger
it comes down to whether you believe that the gobber was in the ref's boudoir or not.
there are no real facts at the moment.
just heresay..and opposing standpoints.
uefa are bound to protect the ref. even if uefa find chelsea-mourinho guilty doesnt mean he was wrong does it? uefa is big fcukin joke full of wig wearing suits with no backbone.

am sure mourinhos legal beagles are hard at work.

but the whole thing is a non-story, we wouldnt hear fcuk all about if chelsea had lost to barca..and hadnt progressed in the big cup.
3 Lions
Its not the first time he has accused/insinuated that a ref/manager has cheated. He accused Fergie of the same thing in the Coca-Cola Semi final 1st leg.
flogger
how dare he.
pepper
OK, I am sorry, if you cannot beat the team you are playing, you should not BE IN THE COMPETITION.

Man U want Champ League changes

Sorry, it's not Man U bashing, but this is just stupid.

If you are going to win the Champ League you will have to beat the bigger teams, its true that the smaller teams do sometimes get an easy path, but they will have to beat the bigger teams somewhere, and its great for their finances, how else are they going to become a BIG team !
pepper
Saw in the BBC web page this morning, that UEFA are actually thinking of throwing Chelski out of the comp, I think that would be really unfair. Chelsea did beat Barca in football over the two legs, so they should be allowed to play.
Jeeves
Well this is the dichotomy: is it a league or a cup competition? They call it a league but in practice it's a cup. And in a cup you get easy draws and you get harder draws. That's life. And in the end the best team wins. Beat the teams you play and then you will win. Right, Pepper.
