Well i had great fun annoying some Bayern fans today.
Schotte
touted a ticket, 40euros in the end. start price for some of them was 100, even 10mins before the start.

still, happy with 40. was surprised at the amount of londoners selling tickets!

some had as many as 3 tickets in fact, which surprised me. how did you get on EtH?

enjoyed the game, shame chelsea got through as they are gash and annoying.

good atmosphere in the bayern end where i was. smile.gif though some clearly werent impressed by the chelsea chants...

We ended up missing the train back to Augsburg and had to get the ICE at about 3.30 this morning!

Augsburg Dave has Gleitzeit so he'll still be in bed now but I'm considering having a nap under my desk at work.

Was well worth it though!! Especially as the tickets were free.

Oooh, own goal against Bayern. Not a good start for them.

Just as OG said. It was a deflection, not an own goal. There was a shot from an attacking player on the other goal and it just happened to bounce of one of the opposing team. Frank Lampards goal. biggrin.gif

anyone watch the AC Milan InterMilan game last night?
I was watching it on telly...was a great match til some idiots in the crowd turned it into a nightmare:

Holy Shit!

Was so caught up in the Bayern game that I didn't even know about that! Thank god it wasn't quite as violent where we were. It did have potential to kick off though when the Dambusters songs started.
boomtown_rat
yeah that shit at Inter was unbelieveable.

I thought Bayern were pretty good last night and really up for it. Ze Roberto, Pizzaro, Ballack, Schweinboy and Lucio (2nd half) were all excellent. Unlucky although to let in chelsea's 2nd was sloppy.

Shame it rained a bit too.

a lot of shit goes down in Italy. That was where Frisk got hit by the coin and last weekend a load of police were injured. They really ought to get punished a bit more

dont worry, the germans have no idea what this song is, i should know as its one of my ring tones on my mobile. they were probably just pissed of going out of the champions league.
if thre is any trouble tonight in italy i hope theres a ban on italian teams, enough is enough.

We were really lucky with our seats - they were undercover and quite high up so you could see everything.

It was really frustrating being so near the Chelsea fans and not actually being in amongst them. We tried twice to get into the Chelsea block but the security blokes were having none of it.

Paid €50 and was in the middle of the chelsea fans, well worth it for the singing alone ! I even got to throw some celery wink.gif Pity to see Bayern crash out, but when all their fans left at 15 minutes to go they must have been pissed to find out later that they managed to actually win the game and get 2 back in the dying moments.

Duff wasn't on form at all at all.
stilettos at dawn
Nah - didn't think it was a sparkling performance by any of them to be honest. Shame cos I really wanted to see Bayern get destroyed.

Thought it was great when the Bayern fans spat their dummies early and missed the 2 goals. I'd never leave a football match early - didn't man utd v Bayern in the champions league final teach us anything??!!
Matsan
We had seats in I2, but managed to sneak into the Chelsea section - H! Great atmosphere, but a bit nervy in the 2nd half - typical Chelsea, if you've followed them through the years!

Didn't see any aggro at all - everybody we saw was very happy; a few nasty songs, but generally all good-natured fun. Loads of police in the City, but they, too were in a good mood - at least the ones I spoke to.

a mate of mine is hiring a mini cooper to drive to turin...any last minute takers?
Matsan
I'ts a lovely thought - I'm sure some of the lads would go down in Minis, in rows of three! But I've got an idea we may end up playing the Scousers... unsure.gif

Yet ANOTHER great firm wasted on the Germans What a bunch of Wankers they are Walked right round the ground before and a load did at Half Time still the wankers didnt want to know Nothing in town either Still a good laugh and trip was had by all just hope Liverpool are waiting for us...to be fair, Bayern aren't really that active in their own domestic league.

it's good to see that west london's kids have access to the internet, if nothing else. when the kid was walking round the ground he must have noticed literally hundreds of coppers, no? or could he not see from his mams couch?
stilettos at dawn
Just think it's great that England have definitely got a champions league finalist this year. Never thought it could be liverpool if I'm being honest!
latecomer
agree with you there, fair play to liverpool. it seems a bit retro having them in these big european nights again - the game against the greeks when they needed to win by two (?) was a classic, as were both juventus games. i'm not a pool fan and hope chelsea beat them but its nice, somehow!
boomtown_rat
bloody annoyed that Newcastle messed up. Great game v sporting lisbon
