Hi everyone,
I'm Makas, 29 years old from Malaysia. Am new to this forum and have only been in Bonn for almost 2 weeks. I'm hoping to make some friends around the area to hang out and have some social life outside of work. Anyone know of events that might be going on tonight around Cologne or Bonn? I'd appreciate some info or even better if anyone who has plans and don't mind another person tagging along.
Cheers,
Makas

Great! Where's Cafe Midi? I'm still new to this area and don't really know where the places are. Thanks again for the invite.

Hi all,
I'm new to the area, and I am staying in Bonn for one year. Im from Stoke-on-Trent in England. I'm 24 and currently here on a year break from Uni. I have been here for 2 weeks so far and have meet quite a lot of people, from all round europe (nobody from England) but nobody who's very "active".
Whilst I am here, I would like to get fit and healthy, so looking to meet people who I can play squash/badminton or go the gym together or something. I am really out of shape since I been living the Uni lifestyle for 3 years in England
So really looking for new friends, who can maybe show me around a little and at the best play sports together.
Anyone?
Oh and I found this site by searching about iphone information, I can see this site becoming really useful.
Thanks
Matt

I am also a 24 year old Matt who recently moved to Bonn! But I am from Canada.
I'm not really into sports exactly but I'd be up for doing some biking along the Rhein or hiking in the mountains (I assume there are good trails but I don't know.. they actually seem a bit small for "mountains"). But beware - I am likely in even worse shape than you, especially when it comes to biking. :S
(which is why I need to do it)

Hey Matt,
Cool name, well I'm not really into sports, but since moving here I've gone a health crazed frenzy. I would be up for biking, although I ain't got a bike I'm sure I could rent one from somewhere.
As for mountains, lol, I ain't seen them yet, but I've seen a few hills. Im busy this weekend, but probably free next weekend if your up for it.
I am here on a year out from Uni and working for deutsche post so I have met a fair few people our age, but most of them are into drinking mainly, so dont really have too much to do with them, only go out with them once a week.
drop me a pm with your email, i'll get in touch with you next week sometime.

In summer (=until October) there is also a bike market at the University.

Gday Matt,
Im another 24yr old living in Bonn. But mate, Im an Aussie. Actually listening to the Ashes on the online radio right now, not sure if ur into cricket. Anyway mate, I live in Hochkreuz (pretty close to Kessenich) and regularly go for a good 35-45 run in the Rheinaue although there's a few nice jogging routes near Kessenich. anyway If you want a running-pal mate, would be no problem whatsoever. PM me if ur keen.
PS. Are u a stoke city fan, pal?
