Don't know what to do this weekend? Here is a fairly wide choice for the Rhein Main area. Osthafen Fest looks like the most fun though.

Does anyone knw how to get there? and until what time is it on?

I've been to this one before. It was (in the british sense of the word) interesting.

I'd be interested in other people's impressions.

There is a U-Bahn stop at Eissporthalle and I think either U6 or U7 goes there.

* 18 July - 9 Aug. - Darmstadt - Residence Open Air Festival

I can also recommend the spectacular Fireworks at 22:00 in the Kurpark in Bad Homburg. It is the closing of the 2 week long Bad Homburger Sommer.

I used to live at the very brink of the Kurpark, and from my penthouse the Fireworks display was simply breathtaking. We plan to go to watch it ourselves (me and Scout68).

I also just saw there is a big party this weekend at the King Kamehama Beach club. Firworks, laser show, fire show, put on by Big City Beats. I am not a clubber, but if I was, then this looks like fun.

Isn't there one every Saturday along the Main? I used to go to it quite often years ago but it did start getting a little bit expensive (plus they cut down on the dodgy guys selling black market fags)

Can someone tell me a little more about the Darmstadt - Residence Open Air Festival? I've never heard of it before and Google didn't give me a lot to work with!

yup - the sat ones are still there (every alternate weekend by the river) and full of interesting tempting stuff.. but it's the Sunday ones that are unusual, esp. in closed-on-Sabbath-Germany

Could not figure out the dates though - If you look at the English version of the site the dates are different to the German version
Looks like the German dates are correct - 24th July to 8th August!

Is anyone interested in going to either Big City Beats in Frankfurt and/or the Mainzer Bierboerse? I'd love to go to either, but most of my mates are out of town this weekend. PM me if interested.
