If you use the search function you will find that many people (including me) have used it extensively.
Do a "full search" on "xe trade" and you will come back with 10 results.

..but watch out. I just set up my XE account and tried a sample trade, only to be charged $30 right away: My bank accidentally gave me the "full" account number for an unused checking account, not the one with money in it. In other words, you will be severely charged if any information you enter is incorrect. Wrong account numbers, insufficient funds, etc. Not happy about this and looking for other options.

Great service I just sent money to New Zealand on Sunday (my third trade) and it arrived on Thursday rates are good (apart from the fact the euro has crashed ). Make sure you reply to the email that you recieve when you book the trade, as soon as you send the money to their account. I think this is what prompts them to check and process with your trade I didnt do this to start with and the process took a bit longer.

Don't blame XE Trade for your stupid mistake. It's a great service and works well for those who use it properly.

I second IPJanet's comment.
You made the mistake, not them. And probably it was the bank who made an additional mistake. I have used XE Trade for 7 years now and never, ever had a single problem.

Agreed with previous two posts. I use it regularly and with no issues. Their customer service is quite good as well.

Another positive comment about XE Trade. Had about 5 or 6 transactions over the past year. Quick as hell now with their new system. Plus, they now offer ETF to Canadian accounts so there's no extra $25 fee. I just sent something last week to Canada on Monday evening and it arrived on Wednesday morning. Schnell, schnell.

As another option, I've used http://www.tranzfers.com/default.html to send money from NZ to Germany and vice versa and have found this excellent. Sounds very similar to above, only took about 4 days to transfer, €10 euro transaction fee and seemed pretty good FX rates...

Have used XE to transfer money from Germany to Canada (via ETF to a regular Canadian-dollar account as well as to a US-dollar account at a Canadian bank). Have also used it to pay bills in the US (XE puts a bank draft in the mail on your behalf). I have had only positive experiences this far. Highly recommended.

i jumped on the bandwagon and did my first transfer with xe last month.
personally, i find it far easier to conduct a money transfer via my bank (only one step). with xe i had to go in to my account there, activate the trade, make a transfer to their bank from my german acct, then reply to xe's email, confirming date of money transfer to their bank with certain details regarding the transaction. granted, i save 10€ each money transfer so now I can send money to the u.s. monthly instead of hoarding it for a few months (and not be tempted to spend it).

I just signed up for my account with them on last Thursday. On the same day they requested to see passport and a driver's licence, the Anmeldebestätigung and an internet banking statement. I had some questions, I called their German number and I spoke in English with someone who was very helpful. Monday they asked me to call them and do a little phone interview, in which they asked me to confirm some details. Monday afternoon I had the account and I made the trade, using EFT to my US account. Today morning I was able to use the money to make a payment in the US. I need to figure out if I can automate some of this from now on, but given I'm making small payments on a loan, saving 16,99€/month on the transfer is a huge relief, and the rate is great. I highly recommend it for regular transfers.
