Hello!
I'm thinking about setting up a mini GmbH to legally use a german plated car in my home country. It is pretty common thing to do with slovakian companies(there are no taxes on imported cars) because the registration taxes are so high that It may exceed the cars real value in some cases. What are the minimum monthly running costs for a company with virtual company seat, no real income? Please excuse my English!
Regards
Martin

Company formation in Germany is not as cheap as say England. Why don't you incorporate there and register your vehicle in England? Unless you have a decent command of German, you would have difficulty understanding your obligations under German law.

Start-up costs Unternehmergesellschaft (also called Mini-Gmbh) :
If you would use the standard company agreement and start without legal advice (very bad idea) you´d at least have to pay the notary to notarize your signature (20-130€).
Registering the UG would cost 100€.
Publishing the fact that you started a UG in "Bundesanzeiger" would cost between 100€ and 250€.
Annual costs:
if you are an expert in german tax law: many frustrating hours of your life and at least 35€ to publish your annual balance sheet in "Bundesanzeiger"
if you dont know german tax law: that depends on your tax advisor, but I would say: a lot
Not to forget:
- you need to have a german business address
- it might be considered illegal (Gestaltungsmissbrauch)

The above costs all assume you are capable of doing it yourself, understanding and navigating the paperwork and making the necessary submissions. Using tax and legal advisers to help or do it for you would add substantially to the costs. Over a longer period of time your "company" would be required to make a profit to avoid other governmental accusations of tax or company fraud.

Thanks the replies! It seems cheap to set up a company in the UK, I will learn more about that as the german company seems a no go after hearing about these prices and the possible accusation of fraud.
What about registering as resident in a german address and use a private car? I know there are virtual address providers for companies, but is there any way to get registered in a german address, without actually moving there and paying a resonable cost?
