Where to watch The Ashes series around Frankfurt

Bars and pubs showing the cricket on TV

Let the bells ring
I'm not up to too much during the days and new in town so have been busy looking for a job, learning Deutch, checking out the city etc

The ashes are coming up and as a lover of all good cricket I am excited by the prospect of being able to watch the lot . Not often you have time to watch five days of cricket. I'm a Kiwi so am not really too concerned who takes the prize but I'm definitely keen to find a decent pub to watch and have a few beers.

Any suggestions appreciated.

No such thing as a good cricket, those little buggers keep me awake at night with always chirping, rubbing their little legs together.
Let the bells ring
Lucky they don't bite.

On Bugs, Eddie Vedder said:

... And now the question's:
Do I kill them?
Become their friend?
Do I eat them?
Raw or well done?
Do I trick them?
I don't think they're that dumb
Do I join them?
Looks like that's the one ...

Bugs, Vitalogy.

good advice.

Sadly, these two concepts seem to be mutually exclusive in FFM. The bars that show BritSports are either of the rip-off-pseudo-Irish pub variety (O'Reilly's / Waxy's / etc.), the soul-less airport lounge that is the Fox & Hounds, or in the case of Cricket the most likely suspect, to wit Yours Australian Bar near the Bourse - which is equally characterless (but with the twin saving graces that it sells VB (albeit @ €3.50 a stubbie) and you can sneak downstairs to "IrishLand" for a smoke).

If you DO find somewhere that's got a little more character, then I'd love to know about it - and would probably join you for a couple to watch the Oz attack scything through our middle order. Again.

anyone going to Yours?
geoffyeats1979
Is Yours definitely showing it? I'd be well up for heading down there next weekend to watch England go 2-0 up!

Has anyone heard of any other places other than Yours showing it?

Cheers
Kuzzer
I am veeeery tempted by the idea of a few VBs on the Saturday for the afternoon session...I have mailed Yours to get a definitive answer.

And, any joy? Are they showing it?
Kuzzer
No reply to my e-mail

Anyone work near the Bourse willing to pop their head round the door and ask for the benefit of the Cricket-loving <cough> masses of Frankfurt?

Lucky I didn't venture into town, then, given yesterday's wash-out...

I think I found somehwre that shows it - Sam's Sports Bar in Sachsenhausen! It's near Frankensteiner Platz by the river I think.
Kuzzer
The issue with Sam's - and please understand that I love the place - is that they have SO many screens, they usually have the commentary turned off (except for really popular events like the Superbowl, World Series, or anything involving Eintracht when they crank it up to 11. Worth calling them, tho'

I've just found another place - An Sibinin Darmstadt will def be showing the final test this week.
