Billy Mays the infomercial king is dead

They say bad things happen in threes

First Farrah then Micheal and now Billy

How can anyone forget those incessant OxyClean commercials with Mr Billy belting out that sweet sweet pitch in his inimitable style. The first VID (voice immodulation disorder) celeb except of course Will Ferrell. He may be gone but his voice thunders on...

R.I.P. Bigmouth!

First Ed McMahon, then Farrah, then Michael. Billy would be #4.

Tampa police said Mays was found unresponsive by his wife Sunday morning. A fire rescue crew pronounced him dead at 7:45 a.m. It was not immediately clear how he died. He said he was hit on the head when an airplane he was on made a rough landing Saturday, and Mays' wife told investigators the TV personality didn't feel well before he went to bed that night.

U.S. Airways confirmed Sunday that Mays was among the passengers on a flight that made a rough landing on Saturday afternoon at Tampa International Airport, leaving debris on the runway after apparently blowing its front tires.

Goodnight, sweet prince.

So the moral of this story must be to NOT fly US Airways...

I think Vince better watch out, he might be next. We can't love his nuts if he's dead.

Am I the only person on the planet who doesn't know who this guy was? My German husband was shocked that I'm not familiar with this person. I guess that's the downside of never watching even one infomercial.

Maybe.

Maybe not.

Perhaps The Moral of The Story might be that indulging in Schadenfreude always carries the risk of having some blowback in unexpected ways.

That, and/or the bit about having the last laugh might apply in this case as well.
