On another note, how good does Gaby Logan look tonight?

I'm sure quite a few Americans who don't normally care much about soccer watched this and saw that it can be pretty exciting...and a few states probably just LOVED the "I Love Jesus" t-shirts.

Well, Kaka "belongs to Jesus." Good for him.
I'm not as happy as the rest of you. For the fans that care, we'll have our opinions, for the fans we need, the headline in the states will read "Brazil beats US in cup comeback." And they'll tune out. Again.

The online pundits were pumping this game up as the most important ever. If we won. Not for the first time, the media is telling people how much they should care about something. My friends have been paying attention, but considering the time difference, I don't know who else has. And this will be a headline that doesn't get clicked. Call me negative. I just want to see them play again because I like what they're doing and this result has me sore. Maybe that's a good sign.
Edit: The headline on Yahoo is "Opportunity Lost," and ESPN goes on to say, "the shock heard 'round the world was not to be." Since most Americans didn't watch the match, or the tournament, this will color the perception.

I thought Kaka belonged to Real? Go figure.

Interesting point, dude. I went to an AC Milan match this year and they worship Kaka. He is the savior. But apparently the true savior has told him to go make more money in Madrid.

Although score should be 4-2 I am proud of the boys tonight.

True that. That was a goal. But as down as I am about the result, I'm truly proud with the resilience of the US squad, coming back from a disastrous start to the tournament to be a team that no one would want to face. They even had Brazil fooled for half the game. All things considered I'm proud.
