Nightlife in Berchtesgaden and Ramsau

How`s the night life in Berchtesgaden and Ramsau, where I`ll stay in August.
I`m hard to please when it comes to Bar/night club music but I fancy the likes of Queen, Squeeze, Crowded House, Boston, Corrs,Prefab Sprout, definetely hate techno,hip hop, salsa,Latin music. It`s bad enough to hear them in Lisbon.
I`ll spend a few days in Munich, but crowded night clubs of big cities are scary.

I hear Club Duvet is pretty big down there

There is at least one pub in Berchtesgaden. Ramsau, on the other hand, is a collection of seven houses and a couple of stables.

I think you're in for a disappointment if you're heading to Berchtesgadener Land for the music.

On the bright side, I've got a feeling that techno, hip hop, salsa and latin music is going to be very thin on the ground.

That we can say for sure.

Not so fast - DJ Hell is from Altenmarkt an der Alz, just outside of Traunstein.
Sadly his (much missed) club Villa closed in 2004, but there is still a bit of nightlife to be found in the area.
ClubVilla promotes various club nights (not affiliated with DJ Hell), Südostportal can be worth a look and there's also the LIMO free mag with club night/concert/underground listings for Chiemgau, BGL and Salzburg.

Which just shows that sometimes the Dorfbewohner live closer to Munich than you'd ever imagine...
