Best driving route to Luxembourg

I will shortly live in Tawern, near Konz/Trier and I'm looking for the best route to Luxembourg. I don't need to go right into the city, just to Potaschberg. It is my understanding that the bridge to Grevenmacher will soon be closed due to maintenance. Can anyone tell me the next best route for me when this happens?

Next bridge is further down the river at Wincheringen. It's also easy to get to Potaschbierg from there too. Look it up on Google maps.
The road out of Wormeldange on the Lux side is very steep though- you wouldn't want to be doing it in winter.

Correction: 'up the river at Wincheringen'. And then another even further up the river in Saarland, from Perl-Nennig to Remich.
