Me and my wife have recently moved to Dresden from India and would like to know if there are any good Indian stores around for grocery items.

You might want to have a look at Saigon Markt bellow the Main Station (Hauptbahnhof).
They have a very good selection of dals and spices. Including some MDH mixes for Chana Masala, etc
Karstadt at Prager Strasse also has a shelf dedicated to Indian Spices and mixes.. but its more expensive.

And they are open on Sundays.
