A friend of mine turned me onto Status Quo in the mid-70's (his parents were from England) - as one of their seven U.S. fans I've been wanting to see them live for some time. Just moved here last week, but missed your post. Too bad.

It was an excellent event. I arrived sort of halfway through the Hodgson concert, the guy is truly amazing - he and only one other guy performed what was pretty much a full blown Supertramp show.
SQ were great, too. I didn't know them well enough to be able to sing along - well, not even to know what some of the songs were - but had a thoroughly good time. They're fantastic entertainers, definitely worth seeing them live.
And then Deep Purple were just their good old selves, a real blast as always. As usual, they played some of the classics well over ten minutes, Hush and Black Night were the last two songs, these both combined took around half an hour...

Me too Gen. Not a bad lineup. As I saw John Waite on Thursday I probably wouldn't have gone to another show so soon but I guess I need to keep my eyes open. I love The Hooters , Purple and Quo so could have made a nice day though...

To be fair the mods usually pick up on it. They're maybe not Quo fans then...
