Accreditation of Dresden International School

Hi everyone, I heard that the International School has lost its accreditation as an international school, and that its numbers of foreign students have dwindled since the high-tech US firms have been shutting down. Anyone know what is going on? I would like to have my facts straight but of course one wouldn't find such info on the school's website! Best, Anna

I think before you start spreading rumours on a website you should back it up with some evidence.

What do you mean, "lost its accreditation"? With whom? And yes, I agree. Back this up with some evidence.

No one is spreading rumors. As I clearly wrote in my post, I "heard" that it lost its accreditation, and I posted the message to see if anyone knows what is going on, because I don't know whether or not it's true. If you don't know, then say you don't know.

I would imagine that if you phoned them and asked about their accreditation, they would tell you whether or not they are accredited, and by whom.

I guess you are missing the point completely.

"I heard", can mean a lot of things. Did you hear it from the radaio, the Tv or are you just
speaking a lot of rubbish.

Or maybe more interesting is why do you have some grudge against Dresden International School.
Did you date someone there and it didn't work out? Did you have an application rejected?

You all have very active imaginations.
Last week I spoke to a parent who used to have children at the school, and that person said something about the accreditation. I thought maybe someone out there would know more. Clearly I was wrong.

I doubt very much that they have lost their status. They are supported by the City and Sachsen councils and recently went through a big construction project (according to the website).
I could expect that they would have some financial issues now because of the economic downturn but I doubt things would be getting that bad yet.
