Just as we were wondering what would happen during Obama's visit to the "kriminelle AUSLAENDER RAUS" signs that have been appearing everywhere a la NPD (they're even all over Dresden's Altstadt, and totally plastered all over the small villages in Saxony), the signs seem to be disappearing -- could the visit be the reason? Anyone want to bet they're all down by Thursday?

I haven't seen many fascho posters this election. I've seen a few signs in Leipzig, But in general much fewer than normal.

Last week we got lovely NPD posters alll over our village. Nice red, white and black colours everywhere. All that was missing was a nice swastika. No other party has posters up. My gut feeling is that the NPD know their voters. Probably large numbers of my village will vote for them. Twats. The NPD poster opposite my house says "cut the balls off child molesters". Hopefully they didn't aim this poster at me. To be honest they all the silly NPD posters offend me. I'm planning on cutting them down tonight. Taking the law into my own hands? You bet. I might cut some balls off a few neo-nazis while I'm at it. Fuck the NPD.

Some drunken yob went around a few lamp posts with a step ladder and long reach pruners. Three posters went missing last night. I say "Out with foreign criminals."

I have no problem with the kicking immigrant criminal out once they have finished their sentence it is just the rest of the shit these parties come up with that I don't agree with.
I am not sure, but it always looks to me that the main political parties put up with the extremes just to see what they say and if people like it.
If it became popular to want to deport immigrant criminals after they had served their sentence it would soon be taken up by the main stream parties.
If I commit a crime here I would not be surprised if I was kicked back to the UK once my sentence was up.

As an American, if I committed some kind of terrible crime here, I would fully expect to be thrown out of Germany.
Why should it be different for anybody else?
You know why the mainstream parties don't take it up, is not because it's not a popular idea, but of course ... you guessed it... PC. Germany throwing out foreigners would have dumb PC types all over the world media talking Nazi nonsense, etc.. Perfect example of how PC suffocates common sense.
And common sense it is to throw out criminal foreigners.
I do think saying "cut the balls off child-molesters" is a bit silly and not helpful to their cause.. But I do think their instinct is right - enough with babying this kind of stuff in a nicey softy socialist kind of way. Another young girl was just raped and killed near here recently.. I think most people would identify with the notion that, with respect to these kinds of crimes, enough is enough..
I was recently in Dresden and Pilnitz and Meißen, and saw the posters.. While I'm not willing to go so far and say I'm a fan of the NPD, I do find it preposterous how it's totally acceptable socially and in the media to be a radical left-winger, but to be a right -winger is somehow a million times worse. It's just because it raises the specter of the past. I've gone and walked around the city center here when there have been these big deal Nazi marches, and to be totally honest I've never really seen the Nazis do anything except have rock concert at the train station. The dread-locked left-wingers though smash windows, burn cars, and spit on cops.. And they outnumber the Nazis a good 20 to 1 probably..
I'm not sticking up for thicko neo-nazi thugs.. But looking over the whole political spectrum, the world is still very much skewed unfairly and frankly a bit stupidly to the left..
I for one am for throwing out for ex those scumbags who beat up the old man in the Munich train station.. And BEFORE their sentence.. Let them serve it at home. Why should Germany feed and shelter them? And I agree that these pervert child killers need to be dealt with more harshly and made examples of...
So sue me...

@Herrdinksbumps - it is not just the media that says it is more acceptable to be left than right - it is the actions of those that are left and right.
If you organize yourselves into a group based on discrimination, well, don't be surprised if most people look on it as being a negative thing to be part of.
I wonder how many of the NPD's policies would have put Hitler and his merry band of twats in Prison?

Part of my point though was that there are MANY radical left wingers across Germany burning cars, smashing windows, and spitting on cops..
But an article and then a thread here would never come up.. Cuz they're left, so it's OK..

er, under the terms of Citizens Directive 2004/38/EC from the European Parliament, member states are entitled to deport foreign national criminals from the EAA after their sentence is complete. AFAIK this directive is applied in most member states including the UK and I would be surprised if it was not in Germany too. However the NDP (as well as the BNP in the UK) know that the poisonous combination of 'foreign' and 'criminal' push buttons in their core supporters while at the same time rabble rousing the ignorant bystander into supporting them. I guess it does not matter to them that the problem they are banging on about has not existed pretty much since 2004.

Can't speak for the east but here in Bavaria I have neither seen or heard of any "radical leftwingers" "burning cars, smashing windows, and spitting on cops". There are left wing and right wing political marches in the city but neither tend to be violent. However, the atmosphere in the city when NDP activists are bussed in for a big parade is never pleasant even if violence does not ensue - part of that is because there is an inevitable standoff between Munich Antifas and the bussed in neo-Nazis. The left wing marches by and large go unopposed.

@BTC - we do have them in the east. generally though, they re safer to be around than their right wing counter parts.
They would only smash the windscreen of your Porsche for it just being a Porsche, not because you are not German.
