How to change the screen size on a laptop

Fixing a problem created by a toddler

redlawrey
My little boy has managed to change the screen size on my laptop so it only fills the middle and there is a black border of abt 5cms all the way round.

Does anyone know how to change it back so it fills the whole screen?

I am using a toshiba laptop with windows vista.

Have done control panel and changed the monitor resolution which has made it slighly better but not back to normal.

Any suggestions?

sounds like the kiddo has managed to get the laptop to use the native output of your graphics card - rather than os compliant. in the bios (i.e. restart, hit F2) under video, look for native and make sure it's not checked...

Thanks for that.

Have managed to rectify the problem now - panic over!!

My cat does this a lot.. she walks along the keyboard and manages to press a random sequence of buttons and F buttons. Menus disappear and the screen view changes. It's usually fine upon restarting (in case it happens again!).

Clearly, you need PawSense.

Is that for real??

Indeed it is, ambitiously priced at $25.

Put your little boy back in front of the computer?
