Hi everyone!
Does anyone have any ideea where I can get some corn flour? Not the very smooth one , but the one you use for polenta ...
I really searched for about one month continously , in every store that I've come across and still ...no result
I really really miss a meal with polenta .
Thanks everyone for any help .
Rebecca
Try a health food shop (Refomhaus).

It's in every grocery store. Tengelmann, Kaiser's, HL, Kaufhof, Karstadt, Hertie. Sometimes with the "exotic" ingredients of the brand Kattus, labeled "Polenta". Because it's Italian and that's exotic. Also in Indian or Asian shops.

Did you try Rewe, too? Rewe shops in Frankfurt/Main stock the brand Theodor Kattus (sort of deli food), and they have polenta.

Or look for an Italian food shop.

Look for Maismehl. Available in most supermarkets.

Yes, look for Maisgriess/Polenta. Our local Edeka has it. Check the health food or international sections if it's not in the baking aisle.

Discounters like Aldi and Lidl probably won't have it, but I'm surprise that Rewe doesn't.

Have you looked for boring old baking powder and baking soda yet? Ha. Also not at Aldi or Lidl.

I give you my word that I couldn't find it in Rewe , at least not in the area we live , maybe this is the reason I did not looked for it in other Rewe stores in town ( we live in Klotzsche ) .

I like to use the Alnatura brand cornflour/polenta/maisgriess. You can buy it at tegut, dm and Hit supermarkets.

Lidl and Aldi have baking powder but not baking soda.
